blowing through Jenvey throtttle bodies

i'm starting to collect parts for my turbo install. I've been running NA for too long. I've been given a T3 turbo , i'm running megasquirt with coil packs plus i have twin 48mm jenvey throttle bodies. My problem is blowing through the throttle bodies . Jenvey dont do the tops (i think u could call em mini plenums) to seal the boost. Does anybody know if the ones that CB performance do (see link http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=310) would fit over jenveys ? or if anybody else has done this already

cheers

There were 2 issues running blow through with my TWMs...I don't know if the Jenvey's are similar in construction:

1) is the bolt pattern on the top of the throttle-body (for air filters) for IDF or DCOE? My TWMs had a DCOE pattern on top, so I could not use the CB Performance turbo hats without modifications.

2) is the fuel rail above the top of the throttle-body, and how far is it away from the side of the throttle-body? Again, same issue; the TWM fuel rails interfered with the base of standard filters and the CB turbo hat.

Otherwise, if your Jenvey's have an IDF pattern on top for IDF filters, and the fuel rail leaves enough clearance, then you should be able to run the CB Performance turbo hats.

I have done just that John
All points made by Stripped66 (Jason was it?) are completely valid for Jenvey's as well though!!

This pic pretty much sums it up I suppose:
The big hole in the middle sort-off makes it hard to build boost...:

Spacers without the center hole fixed that problem:

It runs fine now. I also have made two extra studs in the CB pressure hats to be sure.

ok right , so what ever i get i'm gunna have to modify ...... so much for yeh it just bolts on :(
will post somthing up when i'm done

did you make the spacers ? any left ?

i'm using a different linkage to you so , CSP twist push-push so i might just modify a top plate instead of a spacer (ok i'm gunna break out the welder :-) )

you can come and borrow my bandsaw if you want :)

are the spacers made from metal or acrylic, difficult to tell from the photo..

this is where i'm at , were going hidaway style with a T3 turbo

i'm going to make my own header (just for the shear hell of it )

wish me luck , there is no going back now !!

if you have a big motor, I can guarantee you the 2" pressure ducting is choking off the motor off boost. I already ran into this problem.

I have 2" down to the tee and then 1.75 across to the 2 intake manifolds

you may be able to tune around it with efi, but you may be leaving power on the table

I guess I'm o.k. with that, I already know I am with the throttle body I chose.

How hard is it to get those hats back off if needing jet change?
