paint gun question

I ordered an HVPP spraygun from Cummings, model 1141. The paper says recommended air pressure is 2-3.5bar. What's a bar? What does that mean in psi?

1 Bar is equal to 14.7psi

You will need to get about 35 psi at the gun with the trigger pulled. If you have 50 feet of hose and a smallish compressor, this will be all you can manage. If you have a big compressor, no problem. Almost all guns have a way to regulate the pressure at the gun.
