Most folk are referring to piston oil sqirters.
There are some great older threads covering this, try this in Google: (If the STF search lets you down)

Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

spray jets
guys , just a little input, there are of course much cheaper options than expensive porsche items.
but back then i never new these even exsisted when i did my first set. ive used screw in carb jets, weber idle jets, and best of all plain drillings, nothing to foul up or go wrong!. the check valve in the porsche part may or may not be advantageous on a road car, but ive never had over oiling or preasure issues, but then ive never had a piston failure , the con rod method is used on hirth cranks, but for a different purpose ,and seems an effective method.

I prefer the elegant simplicity of the side notched rod BE, the pressure-relief type squirters have a bad reputation for sticking open.
Putting a hole in the bearing/rod in the right place works well, for example, the Toyota 2JZ six used that method.
OTOH, that is also a common failure location of the 2JZ rods, but not at remotely stock power levels. (which are far higher than most will ever see from an ACVW at any modification level)
