Fuel system for Wasser

Post by knox »

Found a 2.1 wasser today for $250. I will pick it up next week and start the rebuild. My guestion is would i be better off trying to transfer the fuel injection into my 71 Bay or just try to find or build intakes for a dual carb setup?
If i can transfer the fuel injection how big of a pain is this going to be?
Or does anyone make dual carb intakes for a Wasser?

What kind of upgrades can i do to this motor to get more power? I've heard exhaust, 1.4 rockers and the chip will help. But what power will these bolt ons really give me?
Thanks
Knox

Type 1 manifolds bolts onto the WBX head , but some need adding material as the WBX ports are big
or u can buy these:

I am going to try to reuse the 2.1 injection since looking at the vanagon the harness it is straight forward and just seems to need a power and ground either at the junction box or brain? Am i correct?

I would think that the injection would give smoother operation and efficency over the rpm range verses dual carbs.

Is there the ability to possibly use the factory injection for a turbo application later down the road or would the fitment of a later injection setup be better when i come to that bridge?

Might go with Megasquirt as i have a friend in Charlette who is upposed to be a whiz with that stuff.
