We love it!

So which version is in there now, 1st pic or second one?

That stock 1.9 cam is a trucker special, no legs at all for a road car. Which cams are you thinking of using?

Do you have any more pictures of the dash showing the Porsche speedo and rev counter more clearly?

Where is the radiator mounted, in front of the engine? Or is that the intercooler? How is the cooling?

the Engle W120 will be "to big " for the small stock diameter type4 lifters
u must use lifters with bigger foot then.
(or convert to type1 lifters)
if the hydro's rattle they are a bit worn maybe. or the car is seldom used as the tend to leak down when the engine is not used for day's week's
hydros that are good and on a daily driver is not rattly :)

the car is my daily driver and i have been driving it for almost two years and they still rattle i disagree with theory means that the car dosnt sit for more than a day.

And you are sure that the valves are ajusted correctly? no play and then half a turn.

i never said they were good i just don't like hydraulic lifters and the cam wont give me what i want keep in mind that this if my free crappy engine that shouldn't be running let alone running 10 psi of boost. I'm not saying you are wrong its just that I'm not worried about saving this engine.

Amen.

Certain cheap orange oil filters are also known to cause noisy hydros, but the fact that the OFFICIAL MANUALS had it wrong for 20+ years did a lot of "damage" as well.

1/2 turn past zero for preload, and a Mobil1 oil filter. And Rotella T synthetic oil... You'll probaby find your noise goes away after awhile.

You DO need to replace or reradius/polish the adjusting screws occasionally, they get flat and then wear really fast if you end up on a sharp edge after adjusting. (This applies to ACVW ~ universally)
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Hi guys, first post on here for me, and an interesting one this, as fastback says the 120 is JUST to big ,and needs a lifter conversion, but i have used a 110 on solid T4 lifters with very good results and no lifter problems. hope this helps.
