Stock 1.8 head flow numbers??

Hi
I looking for some flow numbers from a stock 1.8L head with 41/34 valves or a stock 2.0L 914 head with 36/42 valves.

I'm doing some simulations in relation to a type 4 build but without good flow data for the heads it's not worth much. (I only have data for type1 heads)

I hope someone are willing to share? ...it's only for stock heads so no reason to keep it a secret. :-)

I will have those in about a month, I am going to flow all stock heads and then have a 2.0 porsche ported to a good flow effort. with stock valves.

I thought 914 2.0 was about 160 on the intake at 0.500" lift.
Someone had previously done this some time ago to compare his work on 914 2.0 heads afterwards. It was posted originally on thesamba and linked here on STF.
Maybe do a search?

Oh, man this is something i'm after, too.
Who's got the stuff? Where it at?

Would really love to see what kind of porting works on the 2.0 head.

I have stock 1.7 and 1.8 heads,
And was getting some 2.0.

Was going to port one hole a slight bit, then another some more, then another a lot, and see.
Also curious to the I/E ratio, and to see what does what to the flow numbers...

This is a good thread, at least for modified heads...

Great info Len!

i _think_ you have written intake/exhaust numbers on a different column, but its clear what should be where.

Am I correct to assume that you could theoretically get close to 200 hp from a 'good' stock 914 2.0 head from a flow perspective?

For a complete view of the flow of a type 4 head, it would be also great to have the same flow info of a stock late (say 914) 1700 head with the stock 39/33 valve arrangement :roll:

Here's the stock 1.7 flow data.
I should point out that the 1.8 and 2.0 914 intake ports can be ported to identical specs, the 1.7 can not be brought out as far. All of the ex ports can be made identical.

It should also be noted that to maintain a I/E port flow ratio of around 75%, if I spend 10 minutes porting an ex. port on a 1.7 I will have to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 minutes on the intake port. With the 1.8 that 10 minutes turns into about 25 minutes on the intake port.
