Energizing A Relay's Coil

Was going to try this as an experiment, but decided to ask here first in an effort to save some time.
When energizing a relay's coil (85-86), is it possible to piggyback the power supply from 30? This brings up the following question, assuming that 30 is fused with a 20 amp fuse.
1. When completing the ground would this cause a short in the entire circuit?
2. If it doesn't cause a short, would 20 amps be able to flow across 85-86? (relay's require milliamps, if I remember correctly).
3. If the above is not an issue, would the coil itself "meter" electrical flow across 85-86?
