I bought the car a little over a year ago looking like thie


the stock rearend had to go so i went with 3x3's.



then i need ed new shock towers


i didn't like the idea of haveing big holes where the fender where so a tube it





the rear end road real lice and i made me unhappy with the front end so it had to go.




i started over the only thing i reused was the rims.











I'm not happy with the way the front end looks some im in the process of rebuilding the cage to push the beam 8" forward. and a new front bumper.

now with all this wheel travel i need more than a 1600 dp so i bought a EJ20T subaru

in the proces of port and polishing,





I am also helping a friend build his from the pan up



and i have a scond car im building from all my old parts.

about 3 weeks ago i found a rail for $300 i couldn't say no. This makes car number 3. so i desided to build it with all my left over parts from my other two baja's.

KBWAKESK8, first off welcome to STF. Your baja has transformed into a nice looking ride. It's funny how one thing leads to another....

So now that you have the suspension set-up, how does it handle?

Any pix of what the underside of the one piece looks like - or did you keep the canvas cover? This is always the toughest part.

thanks. right now the car is on jack stands. i'm in the prosess of pushing the beam 10" forward and building a new bumper. i didn't like the way it looked with the beam in the stock location. I just picked up 100" of tubing. so i have my work cut out for me. I have a new 16 gal. fuel cell and new mastercraft seats for the car. My dad calls it mission creap. you start replaceing parts and next thing you know you have replaced every thing. should have started from scrach. my goal is to have the car finished by oct for glamis. MNAirHead the canvas cover is great it keeps a lot of dirt out of the car.

As others have said, welcome to the STF, it is home to a lot of great guys, sometimes we talk to much BS to much, but one thing is for sure, if you need help, we are there. Looks like you have the usual project going, start with a car and end up replacing everything but the hinges on the doors, 100' of tubing for a 10" extention, this should be good. Have a few questions for ya seeings I am getting ready to smooth out my ride, how much does your front end weigh and what springs did you go with? Thanks for posting your ride, keep the pictures and info coming.

The front of the car is very light 2 of us lifted the car up on jack stands. the front spring rates i think the uppers are 200lb and the lower is 250. on the rear i have 350 over 400 or 450 not to shure. but its to soft in the rear end.

time i wish i had more but i live at home right now have no bills. I'm a mechanical engineer for a good size engineering firm. I get out of work at noon on fridays so i have 2 1/2 day weekends. i get a lot done on fridays. and best of all i have a very understanding girlfriend. she has already claimed the rail picking out colors and things.

I own 2 baja's and a rail. but i also help 3 of my friends are also building cars.
between my friends and i there are 3 rail's and 6 baja's

Buddhist temple is right up the street from me i can see it from my backyard.

All the good strip clubs are down off valley blv. in the city of industry. where there is 1 stripper for every 200 residence

herbie and sandude would have a great time hopping from Miss Kittie's, Exotica, Spearmint Rhino, Paradise, and all the other strip clubs down valley. It was a weekly routine when I turned 18 to hop from one to the other. Ah those were the days.

Before Sanddude and his pervert friend Bajaherpy sends this thread straight to hell, have a question for ya, on this baja, what extension did you add to the front? Any pics of that? What is the wheelbase also?
