ok, heres a thread on my low budget toy. its a 71 super, converted to linkpin, with stock arms/spindles etc. bilstein 10" 6100 shocks up front. cycles 9 inches of travel.

heres the baja with a soft rear, and super front suspension..(not cool)

the super front end, with the trunk cut out for the rad

rad fitted, shock towers in, beam bracing done(for the most part)

shot of the trunk with everything in..

Come on explain to us how you got to the point your at. You have a very unique Baja. Converted super suspension and a water cooled engine. There is alot to this ride, alot. Also let's see the power plant.

Many talk about converting a super... few actually follow through.

rear suspension is stock arms, boxed. uses 30mm SAW torsions, a SAW replacement torsion center section (stripped the oe one out first day out in the desert, not fun). SAW axles with type 4 cvs and notched springplates. im running 14" bilstein 7100 shocks out back(planning for the future). i get about 9 inches of travel here too. brakes are the cheap disk kit from cbperformance.

ok ok, the beast that powers this thing. its a FORD 3.8L V6. fuel injected, Distributorless ignition, the works. oh yeah, its gotta blower

its an Eaton M90, will spin up to about 13-14 lbs of boost. motor came from a early 90's t bird supercoupe. uses stock wiring harness, slightly modified, stock ecu,(OBDI makes it easy). its mated to a 091 trans with a kennedy adapter. im running a stage 3 kennedy pressure plate and a super disc clutch. time for a new disc, any recommendations?

i also have a pair of corbeau baja seats, crow harnesses, grant steering wheel, fuzzy dice on the rear view...

after a 6 point cage, it took 2 full days to strip the stock parts, and get it rolling on the link setup. another day to finish steering and rebuilding the stock brakes.

the conversion would be a little easier without a radiator in the way

the shop is a body shop my dad owns, he lets me play in it on the weekends

How did the 14" bilstein 7100 shocks do? I want to be able to haul ass through the whoops without blurring my vision.

your last picture has been photo-shopped....

there is no way that beast can break the earths gravitational pull.

actually mine jumped pretty good but the photographer missed the shot!

im very limited in travel, but it rides good through the rough stuff.
with your arms, the bilsteins would be way better than your kybs.

Rubber bands are better then my KYB's. Damn that snake oil salesman, he said it would ride like a flying carpet.

Man this gets em started but have you had it weighed total and also front and back. It looks like you caught a nice hill and your going nose up close to level.

nope, never been weighed, the the motor is DAMN heavy.
