De Konjel

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

This morning I finaly found some time to work on "De Konjel"..........
Made the bracket to hold the front of the diff. and did some pre-assembly to see how it looks and if it all will fit.

Think it will be OK.
Now I can concentrate on the front suspension.

hey i just noticed something, those suspension mount point, are they going to be big enough? the bushing dosent leave much room for the pivot point to fit in there and travel, it looks like it would hit the upper and lower part of the bracket

There should be enough room but I left it a little longer on purpose.
As soon as I have the sleeves that go around the bushings I can start with the arms. I want to leave as much metal on the bracket as possible. So as soon as that is ready I can grind out a nice curve and make enough room for the arm when traveling.

Friggen Awesome I wish I had a robot that could weld like that.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.
