It frightens me that you show interest in me, as well as anyone else, in drag, Dawn.

Yeah, lots of people bagged my test stand, saying it looked weak. Screw 'em. That thing is solid as a rock with that engine sitting on it. I could not budge it.

The camera tripod will hold the camera.

Do you have any pictures of the whole thing? It appears to fold up, correct? I need something like that.

There was a thread, but I can't find it.

It does not fold up without a little effort, but yes. You have to pull the diagonal boards off the front, and then it will fold up. With a little more forethought it could fold up easier. I'll make more pics later.

I sense some compliments and some sarcasm. I'll take both.

My latest conquest: Making the T1 DTM fit. I am shimmed out 0.220" on each side, and that posed a challenge. After doing quite a bit of trimming under the spark plug cutouts and around the exhaust port areas, I have that part licked, but the DTM changes the order you assemble stuff. Looks like:

1. Longblock
2. Doghouse adapter (without long studs)
3. DTM
4. T4 Oil cooler
5. Doghouse adapter long studs
6. Generator stand/distributor, etc....

Now I have to clearance the DTM for the CB big beef manifolds. Looks like I have to take almost a half inch off the opening each way in order to fit my manifolds on. The way it is made, it doesn't look like you could even fit stock end castings in the slots.

Man.. good thing I have a dremel and a shopvac. I just take the shroud off, run the shopvac right next to where I trim to keep the dust and shavings from getting in the air, and go to town with a cylindrical rotary file attachment. I'll cut the intake openings out with a mini cutoff tool and then finish them smooth with the rotary file.

Just teasing, MHarney, I've been following your progress in this thread and I admire your ability to stop everything until you get it just the way you want. Many would say "close enough" and maybe regret it later.

If I dared to post a pic of my first homemade engine stand the comments would not be so favorable!
