Poor Man 4 seater.

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

That sounds like a good goal. That will give me a little highway time to make sure the motor is sound.

The plan if the motor is no good.
1. Buy a case of Wild Turkey.
2. Stop buy David58bug's house.
3. Knock him in the noggin .
4. Swip his motor.
5. Put him in his bug.
6. Put a nasty dent in the roof.
7. lay rock beside the door.
8. Roll it over put lipstick on his collar and perfume on his...
9. Write a letter thanking him for good time and lay a picture of Elvis next to him.

thats kind of my plan too. I would hate to roll it onto the trailer, drive 1 1/2 hours, take it 2 miles and have something stupid go wrong. I fired the motor for the first time tonight. A little loud to run at 8 pm

See them now Leather?
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

i drove mine from the garage onto the trailer, took it down to my buddies shop and got the axle nuts loosened in the rear, then trailered it home, drove it off the trailer, turned it around then backed it into the garage. Thats exciting. Ok, im done now. carry on.

Im jealous, I just want to turn it on. I mean the engine run for those who have dirty heads. Bleed brakes, fluid in the trans, mount headlights, roof bars, and finish the spare mount. I took the shocks out as not to get any spatter on them and want all welding done before I put them in for the last time. I also need to finish fit that one pc. Looking at moving the pins the po put in.

I am not having a good search morning-what is the sag amount in he bowden tube? Mine looks a little straight. I can't remember if I took out any washers or not. Bleed the brakes last night, hopefully I still have pedal tis a.m.

1/2 or 3/4 inch or so i do believe. That is if you draw a straight line between the two ends and measure to the center of the tube. This number is straight outta my ass just eyeballing cars ive had. it works tho...

I drove it! Albeit 12"'s but it moves. Today I will wax shock bodies since I did'nt bother before and install them for the almost last time. I still have'nt finish mounted he one piece. The PO put the pin mounts in the worst place. I think I am going to glass in the holes and try something else. They angle out and up mounted there and it makes it a pain to line up and it wont slide without binding and such. This is about the last thing to do. If any pics of a good pin arrangement available please post. I am heading done to the shop so thanks in advance.

Getrdone, congratulations on making movement. Good to hear the shock bodies are almost in for the last time. Keep it up!
