Update;
The short block is together. I have a 84mm stroker crank with chevy journals, Empi H Beam rods, an eagle 2234 cam with lifters new cam gear. The entire rotating assembly has been balanced and looks great. My buddy gave me some lock tight stuff to use to seal my case haves together. I will post the model number of the lock tight tomorrow and then my findings after some miles. My case is missing 6 case savers and they should be in by the middle of next week. Just as soon as I get them it will be a short jump to starting it. The plan is to check the deck hight on Monday. I'm hopeing to set the compression ratio around 7.5 to 1. I will try to post some pics later if I can find a new picture posting website that can handle the bandwidth.

The motor is built and is on the starting stand now. I will be doing the engine break in this morning. Wish me luck. By the way... It looks good. :D

It drives now and runs with boost...... Well mostly. I have a short in my fuel pump wire. Let's just say there is no mistaking the smell of burning wire. So that's my project for tomorrow, that and find all my hardware to mount my rear cage. I don't have a video cam so untill I can get ahold of one no vids. Sorry

Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I have been sick for the better part of a week. It is running great with power to spare. Before I got sick I was chasing a knocking sound in the drivetrain. I thought it was a cv on the passenger but I pulled it greased the hell out of them. It still knocks. It dosent matter if I'm going fast or slow. When I'm going fast I can't hear it as well. I'm going to swap the cv's to the other side and see if the sound changes sides. If the sound doesn't change then I'm going to pull the bearings out on the trailing arm and check them. You can feel the knocking sound through the floor boards. I'm open for suggestions. By the way I'm running thing CV's. Thanks for all your help.

The last time I had a knocking sound in the drive train, it turned out to be the spider gears and cost me the R&P too.

I found the sound. It was an outer rear wheel bearing that was shot. No damage to anything else that I could tell. I'm on the hut for someone that has a digital video cam so I can take some videos of the beast in action. Any of you guys live in the Mesa AZ area? By the way I have decided to keep the boost under about 7psi to be safe untill I get menthol injection and or the msd boost retard setup. I want this motor to last a while.

So I took the family for a ride on Sunday after noon and on the way home lost a cylinder. I pulled over and discovered that I broke a rocker arm adjuster. My rockers have the adjuster on the pushrod side not on the valve side. Ok I knew I had to get longer pushrods but I was going to wait 2 weeks when I get my tax return. When I got home and it cooled off I pulled the rocker shaft off and I had 3 broken on that side. I haven't even checked the other side yet. I will hopefully have time tonight as well as mesure for new pushrods and setup proper rocker Geometry. I know I know I should have done that in the first place. I will correct the problem just as soon as I can.
