James offered to refund your $200.00 a couple of weeks ago but we never heard back from you.volkdent wrote:I need to get a refund from James, I gave him $200 a few months ago to support GL forums, but it looks like I need to be giving that to someone else who will actually keep the site up and running. It really steams me, especially if those funds are helping to support German Look Tuning or SBO....

One of the many reasons I love having my shop in the Beach Flats....The neighbors are gonna love me.
Anything ever happens there, nobody sees it.
I painted my engine compartment in the street in front of my house!

Oh, And...
Why not just beef out the Euro Look Forum?
How about a couple of vendor stickys?
Only a few of them were active anyways...
Put a link to the tech articles up top, too.
If we're going back three years anyway, why not?
Or am I missing some architectural reason why this would be a big PITA???
Doc has done such a fine job with this site, and so many talented people congregate here....
Look at all of us here now.

Doc does a great job here. I started out here back when STF first formed. Still come here and read in the Eurolook, type 4rum, fuel inj and forced induction sections. But germanlook.com had many different sections, galleries, tech articles, member galleries, you could upload pix, etc. thats alot to squeeze into this forum.
Many people put alot of time and information together on that site. Many donated money to the upgrade cause just months ago and got nothing but an outage and a lightened wallet. For one reason or another it was taken from us, most are mad as hell and want it back.

Germanlook.net openning Monday April 13th, 2009
All,
The forums software is loaded and the database is intact. I have been able to log in and use the forums as a normal user would and did not notice any issues at this time. Once the domain name has finished propagating to the name servers, http://www.germanlook.net/forums will be online and ready for action. This is currently estimated to be Monday April 13, 2009 in the morning. The main site will be up and running lataer in the week and this includes the galleries, tech articles, members rides ... all the good stuff that was there from the beginning.
Thanks for everyone’s contributions to making this happen.
