Harbor fright has had their own brand of "better" grade of tig, mig and multiprocess welders for awhile now, feature-wise they are very good and generally have decent reviews. they just came out with a midrange set of models, you can get a mig with metal drive parts, a gas valve, std Tweeco consumable compatible gun (Tweeco/lincoln/Miller etc) for ~$400 these days. Some are 110/220 auto switch.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.

Yes good post but the whip/gun and ground lead on my HH 140 are 10 feet not 6ft, gets you a little more range...

Contact tips on current Hobart machine is 1/4 X 28... Just went through some repairs and tune ups on some tips and the tip adapter (contact tip holder)...

Interesting. About a year ago I was up at my welding supply store and they told me that the gun in my version of the 120 was not made any more so I would have to have a different brand (???) of gun. I bought mine sometime in the middle to late 1990s, not too long before Miller bought them for their technology..
