The same header might just fit, we won't know till someone tries it... It looks like it will even work for 356 guys!

Does It clear the oil-filter on 914 motors? Can't see the filter on the pics.. or is it remotly mounted?

We don't know just yet, but Tuna may be able to answer that..

I told Tiger to try to make it clear the stock filter but if it meant alot of extra work or cost not to worry about it..

I promote full flow so much that it won't matter to my engine's anyway- 98% of them run external filters and full flow anyway.

If it does clear it will make things even simpler for guys using a junkyard engine in their car and wanting some TIV power easily... Those guysare the ones we are reaching out to!

With the collector pictured, it looks like it would stick kinda far out the back of a T3. Maybe a different collector would fix that? I think ideally for a T3, the collector would point the other way, toward the front. But then you run into ground clearance issues, and where would the muffler go? :(

But I'd be willing to get in on the group buy, and try it! :)

There will be several collectors tested on several different engines, mainly 2056 and 2270 and a smaller 1911 that will be VERY popular in 2005!!!:-)

The 2412cc that was the test mule for the exhaust is full flowed, so the stock filter adaptor and filter were not in place for Tiger. He did tell me that they had some fitment problems with the #2 pipe and allowing room for the muffler. Between that and the pics, I'd assume that the stock filter isn't going to clear. Jake can test for this when he gets the exhaust.

I'll test and see... That area is always a henderance anyway..

If it don't fit its no big deal, especially for guys running a DTM because they can patch the filter in line to the cooler very easily.

I wonder how the sidewounder would be, specially if you can extend the pipe like the BAS does, so you may be able to get more torque....

Cannot wait for the results

Very, very nice! Unfortunately for me, it looks like it might not work on my Speedster! :x  BUT, it might on my 912 :?

Jake, When you get a hold of one, let me know if you think it will fit the 356 replicas. 8)

I will most likely have to continue working on mine. :?

The sidewinder may be a possibility, but I think I preffer the looks of the extractor sticking out the back, sort of like the old school Cal-look. Plus, ease of instalation, and valve checks

:D

I think this header is great, and I am definitely interested in testing one out, but if you are really trying to reach out to those trying to do the t4 conversion on the cheap, it probably would be better for the header to clear the stock filter. Just a thought.

Doing that would probably increase the cost of the header the same as having to change the oil system....

exhaust fitment

Dang this looks Really promising. But with all the time and Effort going into it, it looks like it is not going to be as easily Priced in the Novice range.

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=1250

This is type one Range that The rest of us are looking for. Something that will flow nice, and not break the bank.

How realistic is that?

http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=389

How realistic is this price range?

I know you say you get what you pay for. But some of us can only afford this Range. I am in the Navy and Cannot come out big like some people. Uncle Sam is cutting back on Pay, and he never payed well inthe first place.

And with Paying $300-$600 for Carbs, I'll probably use the Dual Solex kit to get her going, since all I have to do is get the manifolds, until I can save up for a set of Webbers.

and $600 for upright cooling, I'll be making a Joe Cali Style cooling.

And another $600 on a Rebuild. This will be As Good As I Can afford.

A $200-$300 Exhaust system is not doable. Yes I know Exhaust can make or Kill the engine. Jake says exhaust is everything. I trust Jake. But My bank says no way to some High Priced peice of art work. I love the Idea But my bank doesn't

Just my unwanted 2 cents. I hope I didn't offend anyone.
