that's a good point... maybe it would also depend on how much meat has been cut out.

i have seen a set of cnc'd 044's that still had the guide boss left in 'em, so it can and has been done... the program for doing it is out there.

i'm with mcbernie on the value of cnc heads... if it's done right... what will seperate you from everybody else who owns the same exact heads is how well you work with that flow ratio... custom cam comes to mind, where is james2 when you need him ;-)

the other big value in cnc'ing heads is just for roughing in the shape, which is a tremendous time-saver for the head porter... leave the final tweaking for him.

at the most basic level, cnc'ing just the combustion chamber has a lot going for it.
