Bought this 30" scissor jack. Works great with the impact. Puts the wheels off the ground in seconds. I'll carry a thick plastic cutting board with me to place under the jack. Should work in the sand.

Make sure to grease the threads and the washer at the drive nut. it will gall up so bad that your impact will not turn it. Mine lifted the car once when needed, then wouldn't do it again. On my 2nd jack now and this one is greased up and has a makeshift cover to keep crud out and grease from getting everywhere.

I used it about a dozen times and tonight it stopped turning just like you said. Greased it on day one. I ordered a high lift jack a few days ago. Will also get a bigger floor jack.

Still working on it. Getting closer to be able to get plates for it.

Finally got to drive the thing. Had to put new brakes, rotors and hats on the rear. Did a test drive and needed to bed in the brakes. On the second bedding brake I lost the pressure. Leak in the line. Welding slag burnt a hole 99% thru the line and I finished it off. Went home. Changed out the line, blead the brakes and went back out to bed them in. Did about 8 or 9 bedding stops and they started feeling good. One more session and they should be good to go. Fun to drive. I've been working on it every day. My Daughter is flying in on the 10th and I want the kinks worked out so we can go drive it around the city.

Finally moved to Colorado. The desert is 2 minutes from my house. Absolute stupid fun out there. Installed a rack up top to hold a spare tire. I would not want to be way out there with just a plug kit and pump. Found some other side by side guys at a place call skinny ridge. Crazy tall hill. Pictures don't look to bad but its way tall. Anyone ever in grand junction and want to go ride just let me know. They run anything in the desert.
