I'm still plugging away at it..... trans is installed (remind me, NO OIL!), intake is in, turbo mounted. Theoretically, i could drop this thin 3/4", but it's already "made". It's not going to make or brake me. :nerdystraight:

I at either 8 or 8.5:1. I won't run more than about 12lbs, if I run more the heads will lift off.

Well, I'm going to send this back to him unless you want it. PM me if you're interested. I'll sell it to you for what I paid for it. I've only had it for about a week.

How are you planning on routing the exhaust down?

I like the way your set-up is coming together, and I think it could be similarly adapted to my German plenum/tb set-up.

I would like to see you set up you're talking about. Right now I'm not 100% sure of what I'm doing. I would love to go stright down, and exit out onder the corner of the fender. I'm not sure I'll have the room though. My orig plan was to exit out between the stood off deck lid and the body........3" SS.

I've got a build thread going over in the fuel injection forum:

http://shoptalkforums.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=128778

My plan is to do efi and learn the basics of fuel and ignition control using megasquirt, and then eventually add a turbo on the car.

I've looked at the hideaway headers, and like the way they get everything out of the engine compartment, but some have had turbo drain issues, and your pretty limited on space with your actual turbo. I like the idea of your setup, but running the exhaust would be the hardest part. It also looks like my German plenum would push the turbo over to the left side of the engine compartment a little more making the exhaust that much more difficult. The nice thing about your set-up is being able to retain my perfectly good header with the exhaust pipe routed up the turbine, and turbo drain issues are non existent.

I want something that will let me keep the decklid, but I don't have any issues with having to run stand-offs. I've thought the same idea of running the exhaust out the side of the car between the decklid and the body, but I think I want something a little more subtle over all.

That header was modified slightly. I cut the collector flange off, and installed a larger ID one, which also moved it back about 1/2". The flow increase is 1/2"! 2" tubing is used also. I really won't know how I'm going to run the exh. out of the car until I get there. I would love to poke it out under the corner of the fender like I said before, I'm just not sure how I can routs it to accomplish what I want. Custom sux sometimes LOL.
