hey cap how much does that lump weigh? did you just add some heavier torsions in the rear or what?

Its about 100lbs more than the bug motor. I haven't changed the torsion bars because Im not sure if its going to need it. The rear suspension was really stiff with the bug motor. As a matter of fact it wouldn't even transfer weight with the old bug motor on slicks. Hopefully we will have its first test drive tomorrow and will get to see how things really are.

Nope, after putting it back on the ground and double checking everything... the car wouldn't start. After checking the problem found out the Aeromotive fuel pump wasn't running. Took it apart and the magnets had come loose from the housing. We reglued them and are going to try again today.

Still a long way form being "finished" but it runs and drives. Should have it on the chassis dyno within a few weeks!

Just stumbled on this thread. WOW! It almost looks like it's supposed to go in there. Will you run a rear apron or some sort of deck lid eventually?

Finally got the bug tuned, wound up making 330whp on only 9psi with a very conservative timing map, am going to retune after I get a new map sensor.

How did you get or modify the k20 to bolt on the vw transmission ??????/

KEP made the adapter plate, you would just have to call them as they dont list making one.
