Congrats man! 91hp corrected I pressume? The same 12% or so?

250hp from a 1300cc should be doable with a turbo.

Wally wrote: ↑Sat Sep 05, 2020 11:19 am Well, it still made 91hp! I was obviously very pleased with that!
When I know all results of the others, I post it up.
Some crazy Berliner made 250hp from a 1300cc!
Congrats!
Thats very stout and bodes well for when you bolt the snail onto it!!!

As for that Berliner....
I'll have her/him one day in the unofficial 1285cc/77mm bore class

Tnx! Yes, already corrected for drivetrain losses.
But no, not as a percentage as its a (very) different Dyno.
It seems pretty accurate as original engines basically had original hp numbers, but other then that, its an old unit also used for trucks LOL!

That’s mega out of a 1200! What rpm did you hit and peak at?

6275 RPM 😊

Dyno might have been a little optimistic I think, but still 😁

What spec is the “Salzburg” 1641?
Does it have any original parts or is it a cut down fan shroud on a different spec engine. Strong PS from it, so curious.

Interesting mix of engines :)

Only know it has FK89 cam with 48IDA’s.. Could not be measured properly I understood, so outputnumber you saw might not be accurate..

Well known posure for the car as dyno mule

Most fun was the original 1200 industrial engine in the buggy, where only the Empi 4-1 exhaust was put on.
The evening before, the guys brought à home made kit of parts, amongst which a GT1544 turbo and in 2,5 hours of wrenching, it made 76hp on the Dyno next day!!
Totally amazing wrenching and carb conversion skills!

Thanks to Sascha for making the video.

Wally, your 1200 sounded mean!!
May I ask a favour? I noticed that the compound turbo 1641 Fiat was also from the Netherlands, by any chance do you know if they have a build thread?

Cheers
Marc

Eddie: the 1300 is a single twin scroll turbo (from a Mini)..
But yes, next year a turbo will sit on this one (hence the section this post is in  )
First I'll try to retard the cam a bunch to see if it will pull a little more up top and to get a good torque chart from my usual dyno place (you know the one  )

Good eye Marc, but sorry, the owner (Hendrik) doesn't do website write ups afaik..
I did make a picture when he took the rear apron off though 8)

There was a lot more in it, but his injectors maxxed out and the clutch slipped heavily..
