An Update on the Sync Link through Jake/ T4 Store:

I followed his forum for 7 months, and finally have one in the mail. His turn-key customers have priority, and there will not be any available through the T4 store for at least a few more months. I believe I was one of three non-engine customers that was able to get the kit. I don't want people to think these will be flying off the shelves anytime soon, because I was led to believe just that for a while and it really bled out my enthusiasm for the car.

On a positive note, I am THRILLED that I finally am able to get my hand on this setup. Pete, thanks for being smart and thinking through a proper carb linkage. I look forward to my motor running like butter :)

Hello Folks, Sorry for not posting sooner, but, it has been a very hectic year. It was a truly up and down year...mostly down...lolol. It started out by not being able to find a competent source to make the parts for the SyncLink system. So, I decided to buy a cnc lathe and cnc mill and produce the system in my new garage. The lathe was an older one with outdated electronics, but it's an Austrian lathe....very accurate. :D So I rebuilt the entire lathe and installed all new electronics, motors and software. Boy, does this thing machine nice :)

The CNC mill was another adventure. the manufacturer held me up for close to 5 months with replacement and repair issues. Even in the end I still had to repair the main control board. I just have to sort out some minor issues, but, all in all, it is running and i can make some chips.

Before this year, I only saw one cnc machine in my life. So, I had to learn this cnc stuff and how to use these cnc machines...learn Cad/Cam and G code....lolol.

The good news is that I have finished programming the codes for most of the parts. i have machined some sample parts and I have to say ...they look nice :D

So please be patient for a wee bit longer...my goal is to start producing parts and have some sets ready for the new year.

thanks

I've been setting up, running, and programming CNC lathes and mills for 24 years. If I can help you with some G-code programming, let me know.
Also, I currently work in a CNC machine shop that has 2 CNC lathes and 13 CNC mills. I can send you quotes on making your parts for you, until you get full speed production going.

Hey Pete, has the pulleys changed since I bought mine last Mar or so? Just a curious question. Mine has the acorn nuts (on the Dell 40's), I've noticed some pics on Jake's forums like look like "buttons" of sorts. Just looks clean. Thanks

Anyone have the latest install instructions? Pete sent them to me, just can't find them on my PC. Hope they are on the laptop.

I've been waiting as well. I haven't worked on my car at all because I don't want to use CB linkage anymore.

Hello everyone.....I'm back to where it all started and I'm finally making parts :D I'm not going to dwell on all the negatives (there were a ton of them). Instead, I will write about the positives. It's been some time since I've posted on these forums and I really missed it. I haven't touched my oval in almost a year and a half. (Although, I did start the engine a few times to make sure it still runs.) This is what happens when you work on an idea and it consumes you, no time for anything else. It amazes me that my wife is still with me

Anyway, here are the fruits of learning G-code, Cad/Cam and how to run a cnc mill and lathe.....and powder-coating, in the past year or so..... :D

The SyncLink system, redesigned and in colors.

and for a St. Patty's themed buggy....

gotta run, the mill should be done cutting by now :D

more to come...............
