I like what I see. As this is the artist first drawing, just remember he has his feelers out. He is reading this thread also to get the artwork like we as a group want it. What we need now is input on positioning the cars and the details we want. I want to see both front tires on the cars; the Rail seems too small in comparison to the Baja in my opinion. Do we want a rail with or without sheet metal? Takotrukin made some very good points and addressed the artwork with an open mind. I am using a roof oil cooler scoop on my build, but don’t think it should be on the Baja car for the reasons he stated. What do you guys want we need your input; the ball was in Leatherneck’s court for along time. Let’s make this happen, we have an Artist that is working with us, that wants to know what we as a group want. Please remember this is a rough draft of his work not what is going on our shirts.

OK guys here is one more getting real close in my opinion. Going to put www.ShopTalkForums on the top or bottom which ever has a better fit.
But put these two together to get the whole picture.
Soooo what do you think now?

Wow. Great stuff! I'm liking the people just the way they are. The baja driver looks like me, and the rail driver looks like half of the guys on here.
Yeah, I hope so! I'm sick of bubbly, bright-colored, Herbie-Goes-To-Mexico looking stuff! That fast, dirty action-shot is cool!it's trying to look like a photograph instead of a characture of a bug... remember offroads are exagerations of the real thing...

i think its ok with the people in it. i am not a big fan of the tree bars on the rail. and i would kind of like to see them with a more aggressive stature. big exagerated front trailing arms, big wide tires on the baja's rear. for the rail. loose the tree bars, maybee some coilovers on the front and rear. dont make it look so "short back" loose the dimound plate on the front. its not so bad on the roof. o ya and speaking of 80's the $9.99 square head lights on the rail got to go. it does not have to have a major H.I.D. light bar but not those. remember these are (in my opinion) are the rides that we would dream of haveing in our garadge, i dont think we should make them look real "plain jane"
whoever this artist is, is veary talented though. great pic just a few "tweaks" my .02

Cartoonize it...
This "realistic" type rendering will look bad on silk screening and/or add $5-10 to the cost each
Ditch the background cactus etc.
Remember silkscreen is low-definition... bad to do photo type artwork with...
If you're trying to save some loot with the artist --- ditch the people.. this will cost the most to have rendered.
Lower clutter looks better on shirts.. check out the Abecrombie website for what is easy to screen and sell....
Is all of this pushing the shirts up to $25 each? Dubbers are cheap.. we have issues selling them for $15 each at car shows...
As stated earlier.. a quick line drawing and I can drop the spot in and do a color break.
