i'd run a flat bastard file across the header flanges a stroke or five to see how flat they really are...

Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

^^^Good call.
Copper, just use one gasket.

I don't always show my signature. But when I do, it's in this area.

But if you going to use two gaskets you might as well use three, sandwich the thick paper gaskets between the two copper gaskets.Big Dave wrote:^^^Good call.

Really until you find the leak there is really no way anyone can suggest fixing it. If there are holes in the tubing throwing gaskets taint gonna fix it.
Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

Mounted the coil solidly...and have a place for a spare...just need the attachment hardware.

Also moved the spacers around....still have more adjustment to make, but the camber is looking better. (...and yes, I know I need to align the toe better before tomorrow.)

If you upload then through the site, they have to be downloaded onto the server, which takes some time. They will show up eventually...
Looks good to me.

Thanks for the explanation Rick.
I'll update tomorrow on the gasket situation.

Another option is to get a piece of angle iron and (think I used 1 1/2"x1 1/2") and weld it the length of the horn.

Re: CopperBaja's Baja
Good news: It was definitely the gasket! and I didn't break all weekend.
Bad news: Wife still isn't happy. She thinks the car takes up too much of my time. Sooooo....baja is back on the auction block for now. I'll have pics of the weekend up soon. Anza Borrego is beautiful this time of year....and busy.
Other ~good news~ is that I priced it a bit higher than I think it's worth....

Yes....it's way too much fun driving it! I think I'll buy and upgrade rather than build from scratch next time.motorbreath53 wrote:...you'll be back...
I was smiling, watching my son ride around on his electric quad...wish I took the video camera. He was doing no-handers, and lifting one leg. "Dad, watch my trick!"
He's so ready for a gas quad...
The wife wants a dirtbike...we sold her TTR125 when she was pregnant with our son....2 kids later and she's ready to ride again. She rode my friends TW200 and was so hyped...I can't deny her love for 2 wheels.
Our 2 yr old is our only limiting factor for all of us having a toy, so I think a side x side will fill that need.
....MB....make an offer.

You are planning for the future and building a 3 or 4-seater, right?

Re: CopperBaja's Baja
negative... but I still have a 4130 4 seat chassis stored at Cwrisleys place....
I figure i'll have about 8.5 months notice to get a toy with more seats...
I need to have a bitchin baja bug first so I don't feel like I quit ANOTHER project. I need some closure.
