Re: Chenowth Explorer A-Arm... Almost Done!
Few pick up items left... Not sure if it will all get done, but we are headed to Dumont on the Friday after Christmas. Anyone else gonna be out there? We will probably be by bathroom 6.

Stuffed her in the hauler today. She fits so tight its kinda scary. I wish I had some wheels to make the back of the car a little more narrow. I had some stock wide 5 wheels that appeared to be the ticket, but the wont fit over the calipers. Any ideas? Maybe just regular tires for these... with enough air in them to hold up the rear of the car, it was like driving on ice... instant wheel slip on the ramp or tile.

Thought I would post up an updated picture. She is ready for Thanksgiving in Glamis! I really love my new King Piggybacks! I threw my FOA's far far away!

And after a little night ride...

Re: Chenowth Explorer A-Arm Build
I think is was Herbie that made some plywood wheels. I have also seen them used on some of the auto how to do it shows. They would store flat after they are removed. They might look hinkey when you pull out of the trailer but once off and stored away... who would know; an ego thing at best. Just a thought.
How do you like the three rib tires? I ran them for a while; they were better than treaded tires and baldies but when I got the steering tires it sure made a difference. I think it has to do with the sand grains here and the amount of moisture in the sand. I see the 5 rib on long medium to long travel cars here (sand cars usually are not up here as there really isn't any place to safely open them up especially now with the side by sides out in mass) but usually not on shorter travel cars.

Re: Chenowth Explorer A-Arm Build
We are going with our friends to North Glamis. Not sure how far wash 25 is from there.
As for the wheels, I ended up finding some small 15's to fit on my wheels. I got rid of the 3 ribs since they were too small for this car. When I used them on my old beam car, they worked pretty good. But they can throw a lot of sand while hard cornering.
