I made it to the dyno last November and made 260hp at 5850rpm. I was a little disappointed with this (was expecting 300 at the wheels). So new build is happening. Larger cam and heads are in order. And since SoCal has decided to close all of its drag strips, I decided to use my parts I've been compiling for my race engine into my daily driver. So TF1 case, and dual clutch disc set up will be added to the mix!.

What cam, heads, and boost for 260?
The older I get, the faster I was.

Is there a scoop under the intercooler? Must be, otherwise there would be limited airflow through it, I would think

Cam: lbc2, about 240 dur @ 50. Small cam for sure
Heads: 044’s with Aj Sims pocket port 40x35. No large port work. Infact, no port work at the intake manifold side.
Boost: 20psi. Was 22, but it dropped. The next day I found the line for my water/meth had popped off the solenoid so I’m guessing this was my 2psi drop. Fitech covered the lean afr with its short term enrichment.

No scoop on the intercooler. I was a little worried about this as well, my idea was to add two small fans to the backside, but my iat shows no build up of heat underboost. I believe the intercooler is rated for 400hp which I haven’t come close to yet. Hopefully my new changes will get me closer to that.

Iat not changing under boost seems surprising. Not all sensors react very quickly. It may be worth testing the speed of response to a hairdryer.
With any radiator, you need a pressure differential across the core before air flows through it but if the temp is low it must be working.

You are correct about respond times of different iat’s. I work for ford and have monitored many ecoboost engines under WOT and can say their temps climb quickly underboost and hot soak at idle (especially after a short freeway drive on a hot day). I’ve monitored mine on most drives and even on hot days my iat stays at ambient for most part.
