(drum polisher? Hand polishing is for the birds)

Most rock hounds had drum/vibratory polishers for rocks back in the day, should be able to get a shaker for cheap.

these are designed for VW's, but, I don't see why there couldn't be a kit for 914's I would need some pictures of the 914's engine compartment, where the accelerator cable comes through and how it terminates in the engine compartment. I also would need to know how the accelerator cable is attached to the pedal. Lastly, I would need to know how much linear cable motion there is from closed throttle to full throttle.

The cable to the pedal will need to be different, 914 uses a clevis/clip up front, and the pedal throw is more, ideally requiring a bigger pulley. a full pedal>carb setup kit would probably be a few$ more than the bug setup, but it would likely be superior to any "terry cable" setup.

I will provide required wheel dia in a PM shortly.

Mind, the bug one will work ~OK in a 914, just w/less pedal movement and will get WOT.
(Will need adjusted so you aren't stressing anything when floored)

The other way (potential 914 kit>bug) won't make WOT w/o a pedal throw mod, plus the cable length/setup is different.

I can easily work on this as I have 2 914s out back... One I really need to work on.

The 911/912 + Weber guys would probably really dig this setup too, used same pedal assy.

Pete, I have not been on for awhile, but these are some great updates. I will be needing a Weber set up and the black or polished will be perfect. Mine will be for a bus so I would need a different set up length wise. Is this possible, and if so what measurements would you need from me. Thanks again.

Top notch work there.I love it when a little guy with a great idea gets it out there to make the world a better place(without hexbars).I will also want one of these sweet setups once i get the new motor built,but will have some time b4 thats done.I read the whole 12 pages and all i have to say is good for you,it seems as soon as you show someone your hard work and great idea bang it's copied and mass produced.Then someone else is making the big money off your hard work.Ok rant off,Good job and someday these will be standard equipment on a dual carb vw!

Mine is still working flawlessly.

Well I finally received all my parts from the machine shop and I'm getting some kits together I can put together Dellorto setups, but, I can only do the Weber setup (at this moment) if the carbs are specifically left and right, like the Dells are. I should have the proper bracket for the universal Webers by the end of the week.

I'm also waiting on a DNCF carb to arrive and hopefully get something for that crowd soon

and lastly here's a shot of an IDA setup, I just finished....

You guys have no idea how excited I am.....I have been eyeing this thread for a solid 2 months. Getting very close!

I too have read the whole thread and everything leading up to this. Nice job Pete, and do keep up the good work I would love to purchase a set for my IDF's when you get a chance. You could be a busy guy for awhile ( what recession?).

Mine showed up yesterday. The quality of the parts included in this setup is top notch. No corners cut, and attention to detail is through the roof. Will be installing this upcoming weekend. Pictures will follow soon after.

The setup should work fine in "hidden"/reversed (back side of the fan housing) with 911 cooling.

exactly, at this point im struggling with my csp bellcrank, I cant give full throttle.
