A couple little updates. I went from a 127.5 to a 120 main jet. No more black soot on the back of the car. But I was still getting a really bad exhaust smell inside the car. The car has a Supertrapp on it. I noticed on the design of the muffler it directs the exhaust back towards the car. On a whim I stuck a glass pack on and the smell inside the cabin is gone. I will probably run the glass pack for awhile and some day pick up an open end cap for the Supertrapp and try it again.

Nothing to report. Car is driven daily and is proving to be 100% reliable. I am making slow progress on the redux swap. Looks like I may inherit the wife’s X Terra so I will be able to take the Baja off line for bigger projects, like the redux swap, replacing the king pin / link pins, big shocks, etc.

Tires are great. I ran the rears for about a year to see how I liked them. I just ordered and installed a set of 30X9.50X15 mud terrains on the front from the same place. They can’t balance them at the local tire shop because I have wide 5’s. I can run clear up to top speed without any vibration.

I blew the trans up. I haven't seen it in two months. Right now it is in the barn with a tarp on it. I haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Sell it as it sits, fix it and sell it, part it out, Do a "Volksrod" project with it, I dunno.

I may drag it out next Spring after I stew on it all winter.

It seems as if the Baja is going to a new owner. I have some loose ends to tie up with David58bug before it's gone. I am trading for a '61 ragtop that will probably end up fenderless and chopped.

A local guy here in Indiana is trading. I just re-read my post and it did kind of sound like David was trading didn't it?

I told David he could borrow the RGB adapters to reverse engineer them, but the trade happened really fast so i am drawing up 3D cad models for him and sending blue prints instead.

Yeah, i think the rag is going to end up "Volksrod" style.

uuuhhh, i don't david can read a blueprint, just draw a picture on the inside of a twelve pack wrapper

i'll buy the hula girl if its not too late, i'll take her to the dunes and watch her shake it in the whoops
