I just recieved word from the machine shop that I should have a few sets this weekend. This will include the Weber and Dell configurations. After I get them, I will be anodizing them. so, it looks like it may be another week. I tried to keep cost down, but, the best I can do as far as price goes is $225.00 for a complete set.

Also, these units are for shrouds without heat ducts, such as the DTM's or any shroud that doesn't have heat ducts.. I'm currently working on a confuguration that should work on shrouds with heat.

Thanks to some folks on here and the samba, I also have an IDA version (custom order) and I'm also working on a DCNF version, also.

It's been a busy time, the most exciting part is that I'm finally getting my new garage built..30'x32' pole barn. Inside this garage will also be a cnc mill

That will be a lot of room for you, nothing like having good space to work in, plus a CNC mill... Sounds like heaven.

As far as the first round of these, are they all spoken for? I would love to get my name on one of them, and I can do $225.
I'm running a DTM and 44 IDF's.

If I can get my hands on one, can you get them annodized in different colors?

You can have any color you want, as long as it's black

I have had the system on my car for a month. So far I am very impressed. It is very smooth (not enough O's in smooth) and light. The throttle in my car is as light and smooth as the Throttle in my wife's TDI Jetta and the Jetta is drive by wire. Adjustment is very easy and spot on.
I love it. I have 2 kits now and 2 more on order for customer cars. No more hex bars, bellcranks, push rods for me. Great Product.

Count on me for a complete DRLA set. DTM fan system is very rare here in Europe, so we usually install 911 fan with a dedicated shroud. Will you have a specific version for 911 cooling owner ?

I'm not only excited for the IDFs on my T1,
But the DCNF version, too!

This is beyond my dreams,
Because there is really no linkage for the DCNFs on short manifolds on a T4 in a T3...
CSP doesn't give full throttle,
And the only option is a Tayco cross-bar style (gasp)...

So, let me know when we can get either IDF or DCNF versions.
Waiting with baited breath...

As for the Porsche shroud app,
It couldn't be much more than a longer cable or two,
Or perhaps the same as for us who run the space-savers (or other 'flipped' arrangements),
Where the wheels could be run on the front (of car) 'behind' the shroud.

just another reason to do a variation for us who want the "F" bracket to grab the wide set of mounting bolts...!

Update time!!!! First of all, let me somewhat explain the delay in bringing this out. It's been close to 5 months since i started to look for a machine shop that was willing, capable and cost effective to CNC my parts. after having talked to 6 machine shops and getting the cold shoulder and NASA part prices.... I found one that was willing to do it. I took a chance on this shop, as the owner is a young guy just starting out, but the work he has done impressed me. Well as luck would have it, it has taken this shop 5 weeks to get my pieces made

After straightening out some issues, I was able to get half of my brackets last week, but, not the wheels. It turns out that the shop farmed out the wheel portion of the system and that shop has been kinda pushing me back for other work. I expressed my displeasure and was told that I will have some wheels this weekend. I wanted to cancel my order, but, I'm to far behind right now to start all over again looking for an American machine shop. It amazes me that machine shops are crying about not having work and yet, I couldn't get one to do some brackets and wheels. Oh and before anybody thinks I took the lowest bid, I didn't The quotes ranged from $55 an hour, to $165 an hour ( NASA parts)

As I mention in another post, I'm also in the process of building a new garage. In this garage will definitely be a CNC mill. It's like the old saying goes, if you want something done, do it yourself. So my apologies go out to all that are waiting, I've been fighting hard to get this system out, but, there are these gremlins that keep forcing me to take 10 steps backward, before i can go move one step forward ...luckily, I'm stubborn old man and i won't be discouraged

As for the Porsche shroud, I don't see any problems. The distance between the 2 carbs/tb's should be the same as any other T-4 or T-1 engine and the housing from the throttle to the pan, can always be made a bit longer if needed.

The DCNF carb project is moving forward, I'm currently working on the brackets.

My machinist stopped by the house last night and dropped off some more samples. I think I'll give him a break ,after all, he is just starting out and he does do good work. anyway, Here is a shot of the sample IDF setup , he brought over.....



These pieces still have to be de-burred and polished.
