type 4 into type 3, giving it a go.

Picked up another 2 litre type 4 engine today for partsand have pulled it down to the short block, every thing is nice and clean but i pulled #3&4 head off and their is evidence of a valve coming loose and dancing around in the combustion chamber it looks ugly. I am happy to say that the cylinders are original german ones and in good order so now i can have them bored and honed to 96mm and run some flat tops in my type 3 project. I was going to just go 1970cc but now i can go 2056 cause of the good cylinders. Will continue to strip it down and have a good inspection of the parts, will post some pics of the damaged head but i gotta get some new batteries for me camera, Cheers Damien.
