Windshield washer air from spare tire

My washer continues to deflate the tire. The bottle holds pressure but the tire goes flat. If I disconnect the washer from the tire it stays up. I read somewhere that there is a mechanism that prevents tire deflation but I can't seem to find the problem.
Any help?

The pressure was low so I mounted a universal washer pump inline that I got at O Reily’s auto parts to give it more pressure.

Sorry to bring up something semi-unrelated, but I just figured this out yesterday. If the tire goes below ~30psi, the wiper fluid no longer shoots.

I filled it up to around 45, and it works like a champ. Hooray.
