Lo cash lester wrote:The McManus car was wrecked years back. Lo' Cash John called and talked toScott (who still is in to VW's  ) so we know this is fact. This car for sale was built and raced by a shop in Pensacola, FL. I talked to the builder about it. I was going to purchase this car from Marvin some time back. Due to a money crunch I couldn't get it. I have always loved the X-19 since I saw the first one in HVW back in the 80's. Just think, 2332, turbo X-19!!!!!!! Yea BABYYYY!!!!!
Yes that would be cool. Of course I am a "window shopper", I can't even afford to by the cb performance linkage right now.

I need a new roof, and I am working 2 jobs, man.... :x

I can dream can't I ?

one day.

Please, O please do something about those front struts and "spindles" before that car ever sees the track...

There will be extensive reconstruction before it hits the track. I'm going to lengthen it to 90" for certification among other things. Look out Sport Compact series, another VW based car will be there soon!

From other posts I've seen, NHRA is penalizing aicooled VW's and this seems to give honduhs and advantage...What about watercooled VW power?

Awesome Lester, I have always loved the X1/9 VW drag cars, and I'll get to see it up close :) You have so many projects on the table, when do you sleep?

I'd just like to say Lester, I think this is a good move, I like these cars as a vw drag conversion, very unique, and the aerodynamics are in your favor. good luck. See you at Lakeland

I picked the car up today!!! It is in suprisingly good shape for how old it is. I will be changing some stuff around on it but it is a great foundation. It will sit for now, have to finish the Ghia before I can start anything else. I'll keep everyone posted. Look for pics up tomorrow on the site, www.locashracing.org
