Harbor Frieght Auto Darken

Ive been using one from harbor freight for the past year, its worth twice the price.

I had one auto darkening helmet. $345 for it and guess what happens when it fails? It goes clear....Alot of fun during a weld and all of the sudden you have ZERO protection..i went went back to the old true flip down..... i hope it never happens to anyone else...Man that hurt for a solid day....

The difference between the cheap helmets and the more expensive helmets is how fast they self darken. The cheap ones are on the verge of not being fast enough, If you weld every day with lots of start/stops you will get sore eyes with the cheap helmets. If it is your job to weld I would buy the more expensive one. If its for a hobby the cheap one is OK.
