Jake,

I have an 1835 that I am going to run for a month or a month and a half in the Ghia while I get the type 4 looked at. I do have the head temp gauge and oil temp and preassure temp. 26mm HD Schadek pump. stock sized valves on 041 heads and the CR is in the 8.2:1.I was going to use a type 4 cooler and stock cooling system. RPM and oil type could implemented in the test as well. Stock heater boxes with a 1 3/8" extractor header.
I'm in Maryland and the climate now it's fairly cold. but it also gets warm

Sounds like a plan?

You know I wan't one to test. I'll come up and build it.
I have 2 CHT gauges (1 & 4), oil temp and oil press. And an engine that likes to creap up in temp on the hwy.

Oh ya and i have access to lots of thermocouples and RTDs, and was already planning on doing some testing on cooling systems. I would love to try out one of your new systems!!

Gotta love be an instrument tech, i get to play with all sorts of temp, pressure, strain, O2 probes, mass air flow meters. Its neat knowing how all those things work.

Smacktalkinorange...

The exact same system that you have on your engine is what I believe killed a valve seat in Slowpokers engine that previously used your shroud. In my testing with TIVs we always saw that #2 ran hotter than all the rest of the cylinders. Thats what valve seat dropped on his engine- #2!!!!

I would love to set you up with one of these systems for direct camparison. email me.

Jake,

What is the status of the Type I DTM testing? I'm at work if you have tried to contact me.
