Been a while since I updated this...I've had a few VWs come & go since then. I still have the purple ragtop & the red 64.
I picked up a couple buggies but they didn't stay long.
Then I had a single cab for a short time...a very short time.
Then, I bought a 67...was my semi-daily driver for about 9 months.

painted

I sold it to free up $$$ for other projects.
I have a good 67 body for sale with no chassis.
Then a super vert came and went in a few days.
Which just made me want a vert so I picked up this 62 that is one of my current projects.

Update:
I redid all the brakes on the vert and got it running pretty good. It got different wheels/ tires and a 4" narrowed beam and then I sold it.
I flipped a 64 baja...didn't really make any $$ but I got a pair of pop-outs and a Hurst shifter out of it.
I picked up a 67. It has a 1776, dual Dells, etc.
I had a bunch of problems with it right off the bat but it's better now. The engine has been out and now it has a 4" beam and drop spindles with new wheels and 155/60/15 & 195/65/15 Contis all around.

I have a hobby that I like and it pays for itself most of the time. Yeah, I'm having fun...most of the time.

A quick update:
the tan 67 has been claimed by my 16 yr old son so it is his now. I will switch out the 1776 for a 1600 and I have to do a couple minor things to it.
the 62 ragtop is for sale, basically untouched since I have owned it.

the 64 is still sitting about how it was. I have to get the pan as a roller again and weld a new roof on it. It is also for sale.

the 61 chop top has had some stuff done to it but I'm thinking about selling it as well. I have too many projects so I need to sell a couple of them to free up time & money for the others.

Wow...been a while. Here's the updates.

I bought a 69 westy.

I sold the 69 westy.
Traded the 62 ragtop project for a 65 13-window deluxe project.
I put the bus back together (welded in floors, put in engine, etc) and drove it for a few months before selling it.

I traded the red 64 bug for a 67 kombi that I let sit for a couple of months and then sold it. It is now on the road and was for sale again recently.
I traded the tan 67 bug for a 67 westy.
which turned out to have a lot more issues than I thought. I put a z-bed and closet in it, added a roof rack and ladder, safari windows and some misc. stuff. I took the body down to bare metal (except the roof) and then put some white on it just to keep it from rusting.
and I've been driving it quite a bit. It is my only VW right now and I have no plans on getting rid of it.
