Stock x 1" longer arms

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Shawn, I think the answer is yes to the bolt up of T1 plates. I found some info on the 924 that said it came with drum brakes of the same dimension as Bug!

Another source states that the 4 speed 924 tranny is nothing more than a modified Bug tranny. Hmm... I wonder if a 944 5 speed could be modified for use in a Bug....

Found this over on www.dune-buggy.com. While these are certainly longer and easily done, I question their strength even in street applications.

I think with a little bracing/boxing those would be fine for a play car/buggy.

After installing the 924 arms and discs what is usually done for wheels? Is there a 5X130 wheel adapter available or do they run 5X130 wheels? Good luck. Bob Ingman

For anyone interested I have this setup for sale.. Stock width +1 arms, boxed and reinforced..tripple shock mount with bearings, long torsion bars and swing torsion plates( because they are longer) Make me an offer..
