Superman,
I think the mods that I'm talking about can be done, however your right about it being cheaper to get another unit. I only paid $20.00 for the one I have now. Once spring breaks I'll go out to the bone yard to look for another unit. I'll swap everything over to the unit I have because it the larger 80mm airflow sensor.

I've checked out the site, thats what got me thinking about using CIS. However I think that I can do it cheaper that what Mr. Miller is asking. I've put in several calls to Mr. Miller and left messages, but to date he has yet to return one. I guess he must be real busy.

Yea, the CIS & CIS Lambda can be had for seriously low dollars. Mostly due to the fact that this system comes from the VW Rabbit.
I know that a Rabbit was a small airflow meter and throttle body. However, I believe the Rabbit GTI (year model 83&84 only) has the same sizes as the A2 models with the CIS-E. I'll keep up on this and let you know.

Yes you can add larger throttle bodies or run dual throttle bodies with CIS. Check out the link to Miller's site above to see his set-ups.
The only mods that would be needed are ducts to connect the throttle bodies, or a home fab manifold for the larger thottle body. I would suggest not to go too large on the throttle body or you'll experience tip in.
BTW I was stationed at Barbers Point a few years ago. Boy do I miss Oahu! I really miss Loco Moco Drive In.

I have a Miller CIS set up on my 914. My installation is the first Miller CIS kit on a Type 4. The CIS has performed flawlessly. It may be the single best modification that I have made to my 914. Well maybe the Turbo is the best mod. I added a turbo last year and the CIS perform great with 8-psi. It still provides a 12.5:1 - 13:1 A/F ratio at WOT and full boost.
Throttle response is excellent, never a hiccup or miss and it pulls from any RPM in any gear. I really believe in CIS as an affordable reliable FI system.
