Regardless of what size motor you have, you really should use stock exhaust if your using a stock (i.e. no race mods) motor. Especially if your going for reliablity.

Your bus did actually come from the factory w/ the type 2/4 "pancake" motor. I don't know what the stock size was though. Unless your wanting to build a "performance" ($$$) motor, stick with stock.

dallas,

your van came stock with the type IV "pancake". it was the first year.

you can still get a stock one. like i said before, i bought the same nuffler, and i do not think it works properly, either. it probably flows worse than the stock unit.

Thanks again. I will run this one for a bit, and if it proves to be, as you guys have said, a turd, I will go back to stock.

s&s headers with a stinger and no baffle.
