Bullet proof, cheap and plenty fast enough, can even run Win10 if you desire.

I have an X300 and an X200 tablet, but a T410S is a very nice one gen newer unit that is really nice, and can be set up with two drives.

I even have android-x86 on mine...
Works great with MSdroid or Shadowdash, or even run tunderstudio on Linux under Android if you are feeling a bit adventurous.
Pile you never cease to amaze me, man after my own heart in many areas it seems. I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 that I use but it needs more ram and an ssd to give it a bit of new life. I also have a ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 that I am attempting to put a newer version of Android on its a hardly use device I bought early on new. I have considered Linux on both but not yet ready to pull that trigger all I need now is another learning curve with TS and MLV in this project ;-) I run Linux on my servers so that is not the hesitation.

I tried Linux on my Asus Transformer TFT101 and the text on the screen is so small I can't read it. I haven't gone farther than that since I now run MSDroid on it.
MSDroid is okay but it doesn't have all the features needed yet.
