If looking at back of flywheel, it would be 3:00 from TDC TOOTH... Right?

well the sensor is to the right of the case centre line so 90 degrees would be about 4:00/4:30 maybe, with the crank at TDC

You are close to correct.... But it all related to what TOOTH (or hole) is "visible" in sensor port this is the TDC TOOTH (crank at TDC), and missing tooth (or hole) will be 90° or 9 teeth before TDC TOOTH (or at 3:00 from TDC TOOTH which would be 12:00 when calibrating flywheel) ...andy198712 wrote:well the sensor is to the right of the case centre line so 90 degrees would be about 4:00/4:30 maybe, with the crank at TDC
Also as side note, think one may want to have flywheel balanced after all the drilling....

Right yeah I'm on the same track, when I look through the sensor hole it looks at about 1o'clock position on the flywheel, and my missin tooth wants to be 90degrees from that mark.
The only question is, if 90 degrees is between a tooth, perfectly, do you remove the one closer to the sensor or further away?? That's my thoughts... Will pop it back on the engine tomorrow and start marking it out

well, i removed the bit between the 9th and 10th hole from the TDC one in relation to the trigger, so 90 degrees from the trigger 
will get it all balanced now and see how i go!

it works fine
i drilled and tapped an M6 hole next to the señor hole, put in an M6 bolt and the sensor with a nut either side of it for fine tuning and all works as it should.....
need to double check it with a timing light to see where i'm at with that but so far, so good

It was a couple degrees off when checked with a timing light but trimmed that easily
literally just a couple. 2 if memory serves me

Sounds like you have it figured out, EDIS has worked very well for me and the millions of vehicles that it was originally installed on. Do not be afraid of EDIS, the components have a much lower failure rate than any COP system that I have seen. Keep up the good work, cant wait to see your success story.
