I replaced all the fuel filler neck rubber parts and tank breather lines on my car and totally cured the gas smell. I also installed a 944 sealed (and cool looking) gas cap.
If I had known I could have just dumped banana blast in there I would have saved a lot of time.

I went to my local FLAPS and bough a foot or so of fuel transfer hose, whatever size fit.
It was about $20, but that (and all new vent line rubber hoses) cured the problem, and seems utterly bulletproof.
(The transfer hose is gas/alcohol/diesel/whatever compatible and has braided SS embedded... It had to be cut with a cutoff wheel)
I didn't need the stock rubber "gasket" sleeves that are usually dry rotted, as the line I bought fit the metal directly.

Banana blast is a fuel fragrance and does not stop any gas fume leakage.

Don't waste your time on this fuel fragrance. It is hardly noticeable when mixed with gasoline.

I understand in a 2 stroke it's quite noticeable..... I should try it in my 4 Wheeler, or maybe even my Weed Whacker and Leaf Blower.

I have been told it smells like Patchouli oil.
Bye-the-way I do not smoke or ingest pot.
