I never thought I'd say this about an upright engine rocking the stock plenum, but that looks pretty fuggin awesome.

Yeah, nice set up! My turbo set up would prob fit w/o too much modification.

You could do a cb hideaway header and run your ducting up to the throttle body real easy.

Am I right in thinking that the "german" tb/plenum/alt stand is the one from the super beetle l-jet setup ?

Its from the late model Beetles (super or standard) with factory fuel injection. (Not sure about the l-jet part, I'm not familiar with all of the different injection system names)Miggy wrote:Am I right in thinking that the "german" tb/plenum/alt stand is the one from the super beetle l-jet setup ?

Re: FI Build-up - German Plenum/TB & MS-1
Did a little more fitting on the engine. Got the intake runners installed, gasket cut for the oil filler and it installed, throttle position sensor installed, air filter, and some other small bits.
Honestly, I don't really care for the air filter. It looks a little out of place, and a little ricey. Unfortunately, I haven't found any better options at the moment, so it will have to do.

Intake runners:

tps mounted with Mario's adapter (supplied in the kit):

fuel pressure gauge on the rail. Its just temporarily screwed in until i get some sealant for it.

topish view

Hope to get the new supply line run this weekend, and start with some of the wiring. Getting closer, but still plenty to be done.

Good luck reading that guage when the engine's in the car.
Thats why I put mine on a AN line coming off the regulator, so I can position it where it's easy to see when setting base fuel pressure.

Your probably right.. I think I may have the adapter backwards. I have an email in with Mario to confirm this though. I was guessing tonight when I was mounting it.CLKWRK wrote:I have the same tps and it mounts the other way, did i mount it wrong?
Depending on which face of the adapter you have against the TB, the orientation of the TPS changes.

Vee Dub Nut.........I love how clean your motor is. Just noticed you had that ugly plug in there.

To keep your really clean theme going............try to get one of these plugs.
