pretty dang kool there! That's gonna be a nice ride.

I can dig out my service without guess work later and look at the torsion sizes, I think there was a change with irs but not for the zee barred '67s

I'm getting ready to replace the wore out TB on my conversion. I'm thinking of maybe using a twin throat TB this time, like the Golf and a few others. I think you've seen my t4 powered notch around here a bit.

Thanks Tom. I'm having fun making it all fit and hopefully look like it belongs there.

I have seen your Notch. . . VERY nice indeed. See you at the shows.

Nate---

My wife just handed me the envelope w/pattern you sent in August...

(Long, sad story available on request  )

In any case, I'll get her scanned in and post a link, perhaps see if Tuna will host (perhaps w/pics of yours) if that's alright.

I may do it at work as we have a large format scanner, but taking a shot at it now..

Sorry, it's scanned as a 11x17 pdf, for ledger paper.

Sent a copy to Nate, forgot to post it up, send me an email until I get a chance to remember my web sites passwd...

As far as the converion side of this project, I'm basically finished. Everything fits well and it's snug in it's new home. I'm not driving or even started it yet though. I'm currently in the thick of the Megasquirt install and more currently in the wiring of it all.

Again, the goal is clean installation so it looks like it belongs there and looks like it could be OEM (to the casual observer anyway) Informed motor-heads like you all on these forums wouldn't be fooled by any of it, I'm more trying to fool the local ricer crowd. . .

Here's a few shots of what I've been up to for the past couple weeks (not much time at the shop to dedicate to this though I must admit):

I bought and assembled a JAW WBO2 sensor controller kit:

Image

I decided on a location and layout for all the electronics (MS2, relay board, EDIS controller, JAW & terminal block), so I finally got it all mounted to a board that will reside under the rear seat (driver's side):

Image

The wiring on the engine is basically done with the exception of the VR sensor. I'm planning to get a hold of some twin wire shielded aircraft grade cable to make that out of. Here's the engine compartment as a couple minutes ago:

Progress is slow but steady. . . If I were running carbs, it would have been done months ago, but I'm learning a whole new ball -game here and it can be difficult to teach a dog new tricks. . .

BTW, I would like to thank Piledriver for scanning in the template I made for the T-4 to T-3 fan bellows adapter. I'm hoping to get that up-loaded to my site and when I do, I'll post a link for that PDF file.

No better time than the present for the PDF. Just copy the file and print it out. This should make it a lot easier for others to make a bellows adapter. Just use the factory T-3 tin and cut/fit/weld it to this adapter plate and you will be golden. Hope this helps others doing the conversion.

Again, this PDF file would not be in existence if it were not for Piledriver and his expertise in doing whatever voodoo he does so well to make paper stuff digital and get it sized correctly. So THANK YOU Pile!!

Is there a scale to this? Is it full size? What size paper is recommended to print this on?

It is full sized and to scale. So it's designed to be printed on 11X17 paper in one sheet. However, with that said, you can set your printer so that it prints half on each of a standard 8.5X11 sheet and just trim/tape them together to get it the full template.

I've got a couple spare T-3 "fan" tins and this is very tempting .. but OTOH I kept an eye out for almost two years for the T4 inlet ring & bellows before I found one and I wouldn't want that to go to waste.

Decisions, decisions .. and I just can't win either way.

Delighted to do it, and profuse thanks to Nate for creating it!

Just make sure scaling is turned off regardless of what you print to. (sometimes they call it different stuff in the printer drivers, older inkjets might want to clip off the edges, etc)

I've had very little time to work on it during the past 6-8 months. However, it'sfully converted, it's in and running.

I need to do some tuning for sure to get it daily drivable, but so far the power and torque is great. I switched our the JAW for an LC1 since I couldn't get the JAW to work. I just haven't had much time really to dedicate to it, but plan to this winter. I want this to be my DD by next spring.
