Well here we are nearly 6 years later and you guessed it i still haven't got anywhere near putting this engine together although i have been working hard on the rest of the build .
Have now purchased some 45 DRLA'S and have dropped the rear tyres to a 31 x 10.5 x 15 but have upgrade the transaxle to a 5rib 1800 bus box .
In the last couple of years the boys hear have also dropped back to a lot more beach work and hyway running and very seldom run in the steep offroad so yes the gearing is probabley higher than before but as SRP1 pointed out years ago the Tow'ds are dam light car .
One cam i keep comming back to of late is the FK87 which one of my good mates has fitted in his 2442 manx style car with the same gearing as mine , 31's and a 5 rib box , although he does have injection over my carbs , but then his car probaley weighs 300 kg heavier than mine .
I know it's all a jugle but lets see waht you guys think 6 years on .

Thanks Andrew
