lets see those dashs!

Offroad VW based vehicles have problems/insights all their own. Not to mention the knowledge gained in VW durability.

Hot, humid air is less dense than cooler, drier air. This can allow a golf ball to fly through the air with greater ease, as there won't be as much resistance on the ball.

pretty sweet, but you put it in on the wrong side. Its an easy mistake.
give a man a watch and he'll allways know what time it is. give him two and he can never be sure again.

Things are rarely just crazy enough to work, but they're frequently just crazy enough to fail hilariously.

vin,
I like the console! Did you fab that or buy it somewhere? Does it open?

i fabbed it...then fiberglassed the whole thing for smooth edges. rivets are just for looks. it has a hinge on the other side to open. wanted it bigger, but anymore longer and it would hinder the thottle pedal.

Thanks, but don't forget that at least as far back as Roman Empire, traffic has generally driven on the left, at least up until Napoleonic times.

This has continued in the UK, parts of the former British Empire, and some other countries up to the modern day, although the first British legal reference was in The Highway Act of 1773 (London), which contained a recommendation that horse traffic should remain on the left.

In the USA, the first legal reference to driving on the right was in 1792 (New York), although early American motor vehicles were right hand drive. This changed in the early years of the 20th Century: Ford changed production to left hand drive in 1908, and Cadillac in 1916.

I don't suppose it matters which side the steering wheel is on in the desert though, but unfortunately we don't have many of those in the UK!

Anyone ever seen this in use, do you have a picture of it in a car?

That thing looks like it belongs in something with wings or a big verticle USA on the side...not a VW!

Not quite done but I sold the car long ago. It was actually for sale on thesamba the other day. Anyway...
This is before, used to be a stereo shop test mule and had a TV in the big hole in the center.
Image

This is after I welded up all the holes and welded a piece of sheetmatal over all the big holes. I never did mount any switches.

and with a little body work.
