well you see, what you do, is go out and buy a very strong cv joint, and then you turn down the outside of it, as far as you can, this makes it considerable weaker, but it should last longer because it will dissipate heat better. it also weighs about 1.5703 lbs lighter, so times that by 4 and you have 6.2812 lbs. that will give you greater throttle response, and add 8.34 horsepower. or, you could save yourself some time and money, and just fill your tires with helium

To make your car 548lbs...it is the only way to go.

Actually...the weak spot will still be the cage...so it would break before that did. In other words...it would not make it weak enough to give you any problems that a full one wouldn't.

So how much can be taken off ? Looks like 1/2 way through the bolt barrels to me. See guys the way I figure it the more I take off the rail the more I can weigh, kinda equals out ya know.

Scott - I'll take a CV greaser since you are already making up half a dozen!

Leatherneck - forget that fancy weight reduction stuff, just run all aluminum CV's, light as heck!
So you think your project is taking forever eh? Well you've got nothing on me.....

now if you really want to loose some weight, leave out half of the cv balls, the cv grease, and the cv boots.......
Of all the paths you take in life, make sure a few of them are dirt.

What is the combo/parts/vehicle years required for that. What adapters are needed and where might one get them?
