Just want to update some things. I don't want anyone thinking I'm slacking I'll tell you something, trying to find a machine shop to work with you is very difficult. I don't understand this with our economy the way it is. I've been to six shops and only one gave me a quote, which I'll get to in a moment. One shop owner had me wait close to 2 hrs and when he finally met with me, looked at my drawings and samples, then rolled his eye's in that "get this little poop otta here look" I grabbed the parts and left. As for the one quote I got. Lets just say, I would need to sell one set for about $250, to make a very, very small profit. I told him I'm not looking for NASA spec parts, again I grabbed my parts and left. I was really trying to have an American shop make these, but, that is starting look like a lost cause Hmmmm, I do have a phone number of a Chinese outfit................

So, it looks like I'll be cranking these things out in my basement, for a bit. To the folks that are waiting, my apologies, I really thought I would've had some sets made in mass by now.

Lastly, following the advise of a bunch of folks and working on this for the past couple of weeks, the twin pulley cable linkage is officially patent pending

that's it for now...back to work

Got my kits. Very nice set up. I will try to get one on the Herbie X project this week.
Doing the patent paperwork is a wise move.

I have read things to that effect. This thread should be a great timeline of events and help you to show "First Use of Concept" I would print and save it page by page. I'm sure you saved all the shipping documents showing everyone you have shipped kits too.

I was in the process of making up some Weber pulleys. As I have posted, I made the wheel so that the original throttle stops could still be used. But, in doing this they kinda lost that clean look, like the Dellorto wheels have. This has been bothering me for a bit and when this happens my brain doesn't want to move on till I come up with a solution

Anyway, I think I may have solved the problem....Here's the original wheel, doesn't really have that clean finish look.....



So I made up this....a hub cap!!!

Wheel looks much better with the hub/plug cap in place. Elegent solution.

Have you had an oppertunity to measure the weber wheel againist the dimension I asked about?

The cap looks great. Will that work with the acorn nuts that we installed on FIX's or would we need to use a standard nut? Either way, they are a great update.

I haven't tried them with the acorn nuts. But, my guess is that you would have to switch back to the og nut. When I get some done, I'll send a couple

I got a chance to install the system on my car and working on a customers install.
Very nice set up.

Herbie X's owner has been wanting to get rid of his linkage since he got his engine. His is a bit more tricky to fit but we will get it.

He also doesn't like the oil filler as his engine has a dry sump and he really doesn't like the alternator stand at all.
This one should look and function well when it is finished.

I will post pix of the cable system installed when it is done.
