Well that's a relief, still sucks but at least you're not sitting on a time bomb anymore. I'll admit I'm a bit jealous of your "new parts yesterday for free no ? asked" from Todd. I must have been one of the first street cars to pop one of these because I did not get the same treatment at all...

Most likely didn't realize the extent of the problem. Sucks you didn't get the same deal. if i didn't i most likely would have had a bus trans built.
It sucks how much gear sets cost for these trans, now I'm worried i'll tear the teeth of the gears.

On a side note do you have any timing values (Like at full boost and under lite load cruising.

Yeah I have very little faith in the strength of this metal for our applications.

I get all my tuning done for me at a shop. I'd log some data but right now my car is stripped down for paint.

OK Thanks, last year I was running a ton of timing this year I'm starting on the conservative side.
What size rear tires are you running, I'm on 235/50/17 continental extre contact.

Nitto NT05 235/40/17. And I'm definitely at the limit for a Ghia with the rear fenders mostly intact. I've been doing some widening on the fronts while the car is in bare metal. I'll update my build thread with that soon.

How're the continental tires? Would like to know your feedback on that. I've seen some reviews comparing it to michelin pilot.

HA HA, it took me over 15 years to get mine installed and running. Life has the ability to easily get in the way...

It's an obx ITB setup.

Its a pretty crappy setup out of the box fyi.

I had to have it milled flat and do alot of work to make it fit right.

Whats sad is I just had a change of heart on it. From what I have been reading is itb's are known for poor vacuum signal to a map sensor.

So I will be using a short runner intake to get this up and running. Then after some drive time I might consider trying it out after everything has been confirmed to work as Intended.
