Dropped by the workshop at the weekend but don't have much in the way of pictures as much of the work is detail stuff and off car/on bench stuff getting the suspension and other bits of the rolling stock sorted - Rob will be along in the near future with some hefty updates once we stuff gets bolted to the car in earnest.

During the visit we did discover that due to my very large feet, we'll need to move the pedals even further over than planned as being very tall, there's a front wheel where I'd ideally like my left foot to go! Few inches should sort it.

In the mean time, heres a few pics to capture to mood at RNJ HQ.

Discs are ready to be drilled to the Chevy bolt pattern. Even with tyres, the front wheels are spookily light.

And the rears even more so!

Which the turbo more than makes up for! :D It's expense being the only thing holding back a smile!

In other news, between myself, Rob and paint guru Bruce from WRP had had a bit of a cunning plan about the direction to take the car from a cosmetic / styling point of view which I'm very excited about but will have to stay under wraps for now.

Stay tuned for a big update soon...

Some progress has been made on the engine.

After a lot of work to get the 78mm crank, scat big bolt H beam rods and the custom ground Web camshaft into the case and turning without hitting each other, the bottom end is now built and has been mocked up with some dummy pistons so the deck height can be set.

Now this is done the custom made J&E pistons can be ordered.

Also, now we know what the piston size is and what dish we need in them, we can finish the chamber in the heads to get our C/R.

You can also see the oversize case through-bolts and the ARP head studs along with the Autocraft oil pump. Also you can see the mod to the top of the case that will allow us to run a 5th stud for each cylinder - much needed mod with a boosted engine.

The front end is pretty much done and just needs a few small bits for the top mount then I'll get some more pic's up.

I suspect that was just there as a 2x4 spacer to hold something up, or to get a thickness measurement if it's going ~there.
Addendum to Newtons first law:
zero vehicles on jackstands, square gets a fresh 090 and 1911, cabby gets a blower.
EZ3.6 Vanagon after that.(mounted, needs everything finished) then Creamsicle.
