I have a 1967 bug. The last thing I must do before the car is back on the road is installing the door restoration kit from CIP1. I saved everything when I took the doors apart...six months ago. And forgot where everything goes. Right now I'm dealing with the 44 inch long door glass top felt channel. I have twelve clips that go inside the trough and ultimately hold the channel in place. I only have five holes in each door's channel for attaching the clips. Any suggestions what to do here? A few of the clips are mashed flat suggesting they weren't clipped into a hole. I wish I had photos but my camera disappeared.
TIA,
kevin

Never mind. I found the sixth hole in the metal bar that goes inside the door next to the door lock.

Re: Glass channel question
The camera and an mp3 player have gone missing. I live in a small town where nobody much locks doors so a kid could have spied them on the seat and grabbed them. My wife has a new digital camera. I wanted to do a photo series on restoring the 1967 doors since I haven't seen it done on STF or Samba.

Until I went into the Navy in 78, I didn't even own a key to my house.
The keys never came out of any of the cars either!
Gotta luv small towns for some reason....
